Byron Henry “Bud” Neff

Byron Henry "Bud" Neff, 83, residing in South Bend, passed away at 6:00 pm Sunday, June 10, 2012 at home. He was born in South Bend on March 2, 1929 to the late William Henry and Theodora (Ball) Neff, and remained a lifelong area resident. On April 2, 1955 in South Bend, Byron married the former Barbara Tschida, who preceded him in death on April 3, 2005. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Roe.

Byron served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was co-owner of the former Custom Exhibits.

Survivors include daughters, Rebecca (Terry) Boersema and Jennifer Gingerich, both of South Bend; sons, Roger Neff, also of South Bend, and William (Ruth) Neff of Osceola; grandchildren, Heather (Mike) Carroll and Samantha Gingerich, both of South Bend, Heidi (Keith) Dillon of Charleston, SC and Marisa and Maraya Neff, both of Osceola; great grandchildren, Meghan Carroll and Kadyn and Kinsley Dillon; and one sister, Vivian Neff of South Bend.

A private military burial will take place at a later date. Palmer Funeral Home - Guisinger Chapel and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family with arrangements.
