William J. Pasman

William J. Pasman, 76, of Hartman Street, passed away at 2:05 p.m. Monday, May 16, 2005, in Memorial Hospital.
Bill retired in 1989 from Bendix where he was employed for 15 years. He was a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters 172 and worked in the trade for 55 years. He was also a member of the D.F.V. German Club and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was born on August 6, 1928, in South Bend, to Leopold and Katherine (Mayerhofer) Pasmann. On May 13, 1950, in Chicago, he married the former Stephanie Rotter, who survives. Bill and Stephanie had been married 55 years. Also surviving are a daughter, Nancy (Kevin) Bikowski of South Bend; a son, Raymond Pasman of South Bend; two grandsons, Keith and Blake Bikowski; a brother, Frank (Esther) Pasman of South Bend; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by three half brothers, Leo Pasman, Tony Pasman and Fritz Pasman.
After his beloved family, Bill's favorite place to be was at "The Cottage" on Cedar Lake in Marcellus, Michigan. He built a beautiful haven for family and friends to enjoy. Bill had many hobbies including fishing, hand-made crafts, working out at the Fitness U.S.A. Spa, and making thousands of pounds of homemade sausage. He was always willing to help family and friends when needed.
Bill was very proud of his two grandsons, Keith and Blake, and all their accomplishments. They will miss him very much They loved their Papa.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 1 :00 a.m. Thursday, May 19, 2005, in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue. Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 Wednesday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County
