Virginia R. (DeSonia) Owens, 58, of Tuscola, formerly of Villa Grove, died 4:30 a.m. Wednesday (Aug. 27, 1980) in Royal Fontana Nursing Home, Urbana. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Joines Funeral Home, Villa Grove, with visitation 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Villa Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Owens was born in South Bend, Ind., of Arthur and Hannah DeSonia. She married Lester Owens in 1949.

Surviving are her husband; sons, Randal of St. Charles, Mo.; William E. of Tulsa, Okla.; Bruce L. of Tuscola; brothers, Harold DeSonia of San Diego, Calif.; Arthur DeSonia of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; sisters, Shirley Emerick of San Diego, Calif.; Helen Weaver of South Bend, Ind.; two grandchildren.
