Mary K. (Nagy) Morence

Mary K. Morence, 76, of Sparks died Nov. 21, 1999, at Hearthstone of Northern Nevada. A native of South Bend, Ind., she was born May 27, 1923, and had lived in Sparks since 1989, coming from Livermore, Calif. Mrs. Morence worked in real estate and was the previous owner of Rutherfords Ole South Restaurant on North Edison in Reno.

Her husband, Leonard, died in 1981.

Surviving are sons, Stephen of California and Eric of Winnemucca; brother, Ernie Nagy of South Bend; sisters, Frieda McCarthy of Saginaw, Mich., and Jeanne Kacarab of Canton, Ohio; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Cross Catholic Community Church, 3175 Goldy Way, Sparks. Cremation will be at Sierra Crematory, Reno, with inurnment at Saint Michael's Cemetery, Livermore, under the direction of John Sparks Memorial Cremation and Burial Society.
