Charles Raymond Searfoss

Word has been received of the death of Charles Raymond Searfoss, 63, of Scottsdale, Ariz., formerly of South Bend, on Wednesday in his home after an illness. Mr. Searfoss retired from Air Research, Phoenix. He was born Feb. 4, 1923, in South Bend and had lived in South Bend until moving to Phoenix in 1955.

In 1944, in South Bend, he married Erma Alice Ritter, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Carolyn Jolly of Tucson, Ariz., and Linda Rae Searfoss of Phoenix; a son, Thomas F., of Phoenix; four grandchildren; a sister, Mary Green of California; and two brothers, Ralph and Burt, both of California.

Private services will be held in Phoenix. Paradise Chapel, Phoenix, is in charge of arrangements.

He was a former Bendix Corp. employee.
