TOTH, LOUIS GEORGE, was born in South Bend, Indiana on February 13, 1921 to parents Louis M. & Mary Toth, both emigrants from Hungary. His childhood and youth were in South Bend before entering the US Army in 1942. He served in Airborne Infantry and Armored units in the US and European Theater during WWII.
He attended Butler University Indianapolis under the G.I. bill, prior to reenlisting in the US Army in 1950. He was assigned to duty in Korea where he received citation and Purple Heart awards during his second combat tour. His post Army activity was concentrated in the manufactured homes industry in Wisconsin as a sales representative. He was an active member of the Phi Delta Theta fraternity, Masons, Shriners and Presbyterian Church. Upon his discharge from the Army he received one hundred percent disability status from the Veterans Administration and resided his last years at the VA Orlando Florida facility.
He is survived by his brother, Richard; niece, Cheryl Pollock; nephews, Richard, Jr., Robert, Randall and Ronald Toth.
