BERRIEN SPRINGS -. Services for Alfred C. (Gus) Balough, 64, of 611 S. Mechanic St., who died Saturday night in Berrien General Hospital, Berrien Center, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Allred Funeral Home. Rev. Maynard Schoen, pastor of the Berrien Center Bible Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may call until 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the building fund of Stover-Wagner American Legion Post 85, Berrien Springs.

He was born on May 8, 1918, in South Bend and lived in Berrien Springs for the last 43 years.

He was married on March 25, 1939, in Mishawaka to the former Frances Shafer, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs.

Ron (Darlene) Watson and Mrs. Michael (Sandra) Stephens, both of Berrien Springs; six grandchildren, a great-granddaughter and a sister, Mrs. Stephen (Julia) Parko of South Bend.

A brother, Charles, preceded him in death.

He was retired from the Amerson Bowman Heating Oil Co., where he a delivery truck driver. He was a member of the American Legion post, Niles Elks Lodge 1322 and the Buchanan Moose Lodge
