Roy Gee Carter

SOUTH BEND Services for Roy Gee Carter, 71, of Roseville, Mich., formerly of South Bend, who died Friday at Veterans Administration Hospital, Battle Creek, Mich., will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Indiana University.

Mr. Carter was a former office manager for A&P Store. He was born March 27, 1918, in South Bend and lived in South Bend until moving to Michigan in 1953.

On Sept. 8, 1940, in South Bend, he married Becky Chaillaux, who died in 1983.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathleen Carter of Roseville and Rosemary Conor of Olympia, Wash.; three grandchildren; a sister, Joan Cofer, Vinton, Calif.; and his mother, Hazel Carter-Rudduck of Vinton.

He was a veteran of World War II, and a graduate of Riley High School and Indiana University..
