June E. (Harrison) Lenhard

June E. Lenhard, age 85, passed away Monday, May 19, 2003, at Rio Grande Regional Hospital. Mrs. Lenhard was born on January 14, 1916, in South Bend, Indiana, to Fredrick and Matilda Harrison.

Mrs. Lenhard and her husband retired and moved to McAllen from Mount Prospect, Illinois, in 1978. She was a member of the McAllen Country Club, where she played golf for many years and was an active member of St. John's Episcopal Church in McAllen. June was preceded in death by her husband Richard E. Lenhard; her sister, Winifred Ward; and her stepdaughter, Gail Hall.

Mrs. Lenhard is survived by her brother, Frederick Harrison of Florida; daughter Judith Candelaria of Corrales, New Mexico; son, John Lenhard of Barrington, Illinois; stepson, Tom Lenhard of Michigan; granddaughter, Karen Watt of San Juan; grandsons, Steven Watt and Christopher Watt; grandson, Bradford Lenhard; granddaughter, Brandi Lenhard; five step-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial services for Mrs. Lenhard will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 22, 2003, at Saint John's Episcopal Church, 2500 N. 10th St. Street. Inurnment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
