Jane L. (Rowe) Hauser

Jane L. Hauser, 62, of 20151 Pulling, died at 8:35 p.m. Thursday in St. Joseph's Medical Center after an eight-month illness. She was born on Feb. 9. 1918, in Warsaw, and lived in South Bend most of her life.

As Jane Rowe, she married Mervin Hauser on Feb. 14. 1942. He survives along with two daughters, Mrs. Christine Ivy of Granger and Mrs. Peggy Wensits of South Bend; a son, Michael of South Bend; nine grandchildren: a sister, Mrs. Arthur Robertson of South Bend: and two brothers, Carl Rowe of South Bend and Jack Rowe of Peru, Ill.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 1201 S. Michigan. Rev. Hershel Dyer. pastor of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

She was a member of the church and its Ladies Group, the ladies auxiliary of the Avalon Grotto and was a member of the Moose Lodge. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or the American Cancer Society.
