Katherine L. (Scheiman) Romine

Katherine L. Romine, 80, beloved wife of Warren W. Romine, died at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, in the St. Joseph Community Hospital, Mishawaka, Ind. Katherine was born on Dec. 19, 1917, in South Bend, Ind., to Gottlieb ''Eby'' and Lillian (Raabe) Scheiman, who preceded her in death. Also deceased is her loving brother, Gerald Scheiman.

On Sept. 1, 1951, Katherine married Warren. She was also the beloved mother of Beverly Kruger Borr and Madgemarie (George) Romine Krawczyk, both of South Bend. Three grandchildren also survive: Robin (Rise) Borr, Brandi Borr and Julie Krawczyk. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Kaye Scheiman of South Bend; a brother-in-law, Woodward (Jean) Romine of Pennsylvania; nieces, Rachel Romine of Gaithersburg, Md., and Rebecca Fenton of New Orleans, La.; and by a nephew, Wood Romine of Los Angeles, Calif.

She was a member of the Evangel Heights United Methodist Church in South Bend, and St. Joseph Chapter #569 of the Eastern Star.
