SOUTH BEND Robert S. Warner, 74, of Brightwood Lane, died at 5:30 a.m. Saturday in Memorial Hospital after an illness. Mr. Warner retired as president of South Bend Roofing Co.

He was born Oct. 6, 1917, in Argos. He moved to South Bend 70 years ago in from Argos.

On June 28, 1940, South Bend, he married Margaret Heinzman. She survives with two daughters, Judith Mark of Osceola and Gail Kimbel of South Bend; three grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Myers of South Bend.

Mr. Warner was an Army veteran of World War II; a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 360, Mishawaka; Moose Lodge 1454, Bonita Springs, Fla.; and Ridgedale Presbyterian Church.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
