Norma Jean (Cook) Carter
Norma Jean Carter, 45, 633 E. 10th St., died at 3:10 Saturday, May 16, 1970, in St. Joseph's Hospital, South Bend, following an illness of two years. She was born in South Bend April 6, 19252 and was a lifetime area resident.
She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Norman J. Cook, of South Bend; four sons, Dennis, of Lawton, Mich:; Bruce, with the U.S. Navy, Great Lakes, Ill.: and William, and Kevin, both at home; two daughters. Mrs. Janis Kay Bolling, of Martinez, Calif. and Mrs. Lloyd Hatfield. of Mishawaka; four grandchildren; a brother, Gerald Cook, of South Bend; and a sister, Mrs. June Sherman, of South Bend.
She was a member of the First Christian Church, and was employed at Bercliff Industries, Mishawaka. Friends may call at the Bubb Funeral Chapel from 2 to 4 and 7 to p.m. today. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Rev. Raymond D. Harris, pastor of the First Christian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola
