SOUTH BEND Services for Alfred G. Bartlett, 79, of Butler, Pa., formerly of South Bend, who' died April 21 in Sherwood Oaks Nursing Home, Butler, were Thursday in Christ United Methodist Church, Bethel Park, Pa. Paul L. Henney Funeral Home, Bethel Park, handled arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to Animal Friends Inc., 2643 Penn Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15222.

Mr. Bartlett was born June 25, 1915, in South Bend. He is survived by his wife, Sarah A. (Berger) Bartlett of Butler; a son, John B. of North Andover, Mass.; and two grandchildren.

He was a member of Masonic Lodge 45 and York Rite Chapter 29, both of South Bend.
