SOUTH BEND Services for Robert B. Mackey, 11. of Rockford, Ill, formerly of South Bend, who died Monday in his home, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Fred C. Olson Mortuary, Rockford. Burial will be in Scandinavian Cemetery, Rock ford. Friends may call from 1 to 8:30 pm. at the funeral home. contributions may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church, Northers Illinois Hospice Swedish American Hospital Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Rockford.

Mr. Mackey retired in 1979 as general manager for Means Service Co., South Bend and Rockford  He was born June 27, 1916 in Detroit and lived in South Bend until moving to Rockford in 1957.

On Nov. 2. 1940, in Mishawaka, be marred Marie Olson, who survives.  Also surviving are a daughter, Kathleen Mackey of Rockford; a son, Thomas M, of Naperville, Ill; three grandchildren; four sisters, Betty Baker and Margaret Mackey, both of South Bend, Helene Bernhagen of Houston and Jane Eckenhoff of LaPorte; brothers, James of Clarksburg, W. Va, and Richard of South Bend

He was a veteran of World War I! and received a Bronze Star
