SOUTH BEND - Gerald E. Marvel, 84, of Jupiter, Fla., formerly of South Bend, died Monday in Florida.

Survivors include his wife, Jane E.; and two sons, Wayne E. of Grafton, Wis., and Gary L. of Jupiter, Fla.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Aycock Funeral Home, Jupiter. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in Highland Cemetery

MARVEL, Gerald E. Gerald E. Marvel, 84, passed away Monday, (April 15, 2002), while taking an walk near his home in Jonathan's Landing, Jupiter, FL.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Jane E. Marvel; son, Wayne E. Marvel and daughter-in-law, Katherine Marvel of Grafton, WI; and son, Gary L. Marvel of Jupiter, FL. Cherished grandfather of Cheryl A. Edwards and husband, Kent Edwards of Paducah, KY; Michelle E. Marvel of Delray Beach, FL; Edward W.

Marvel of South St. Paul, MN; Melissa A. Buddeke and husband, Paul Buddeke of Louisville, KY; and loving great grandfather of Devyn, Bradley, Ashley, Lauren and Luke. "Jerry: was currently employed by Dickinson Management, Inc. of Jupiter, FL, a division of FirstService Corporation, and proud to be working on the day of his death.

Mr. Marvel's 68-year career began with the Torrington Company, a division of Ingersoll Rand, where he started as an apprentice in the foundry, while finishing his education at the University of Cincinnati; he completed his 46th year with them as a Divisional is Sales Manager. Then, he spent 12 years with Marvel Advertising, and the balance was with Dickinson Management.

A chapel will be held at Aycock Fuservice, Home, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter, FL on Friday, April 19, at 10 a.m. Interment will be in South Bend, IN at Highlands/Riverview Cemetery, with a small service scheduled for Monday, April 22.

The family requests charitable gifts only, at the choice of the contributors or donations may be made to the charity founded by Mr. Marvel's granddaughter, the Endometriosis Center, 630 Ibis Drive, Delray Beach, FL 33444.
