Hazel Lee (Munro) Viehe

SOUTH BEND - Hazel Lee Viehe, 76, of East Haney Street, died of natural causes at 2:40 p.m. Thursday in the home of her sister, Marianna Sipotz of South Bend. Mrs. Viehe retired in 1992 from Saint Mary's College and in 1975 from Bendix Corp. She was born July 28, 1916, South Bend.
On Aug. 15, 1950, in South Bend, she married Frank J. Viehe. He died Sept. 29, 1969.
Surviving with her sister are a daughter, Jeanne Lee Ray of Holmes Beach, Fla.; a son, Jon F. of Walkerton; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was a member of NOW Club of Grace United Methodist Church, Bendix charter member of South Bend GarSalaried Women's Club, is state den Club and a member of Order of Eastern Star Chapter 594, Friendly Member Group of the church and Riley Lunch Bunch.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Hanley & Sons Funeral Home. Burial will be Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home.
