Kenneth Eugene Topper

Kenneth E. Topper, 88, residing on Uneta Street, Dowagiac, Mich., passed away at 2:05 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, in Borgess Lee Memorial Hospital, Dowagiac, Mich. Mr. Topper retired as a foreman for Dodge Manufacturing following 20 years of service. He was born on Dec.5, 1915, in South Bend, Ind. to the late Arthur and Betty Topper and lived in this area most of his life.

On May, 24, 1939, in South Bend, Ind., he married Margaret E. Moss, who survives. Surviving with his wife, Margaret E. Topper of Dowagiac, is a son, Raymond E. Topper, Sr. of South Bend; three grandchildren, Raeann (Chad) Listenberger of Mishawaka, Ind., Ray Topper, Jr. of Niles, and Jeffrey (Penny) Topper of South Bend; four great-grandchildren, Ryan, Megan, Samantha, and Penny Ann; and one great-great granddaughter, Holly.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Forrest Topper.

As a hobby, Margaret and he collected and restored dolls. They were both members of Dolls of America. He was a 32nd-degree Free and Accepted Mason.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Oct. 11, in Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend. Rev. Ed Erskin, pastor of Northway Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Ind. Friends may call two hours prior to services in the funeral home.
