SOUTH BEND - Al Bayman, 86, of South Bend, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2016, in Naples, Florida. Al was born Nov. 1, 1929, in South Bend, to the late Jack and Lucille (Hodson) Bayman. He was also preceded in death by his brother, John Bayman. On March 24, 1951, in South Bend, Al married Marilyn (Martindale), who survives. Also surviving are daughter, Victoria (Brent) Wolter of Kalamazoo, MI, son, John (Nadya) Bayman of Naples, Florida, and daughter, Brenda Springer of South Bend; grandchildren, Sasha (Grant) Kasten, Melisa (John) Taylor, Brandon Wolter, John C. (Heather) Bayman, Amy (Ryan) Britt, Kevin Bayman, and Brittania Bayman; and great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Kasten, Darby Kasten, Sean Bayman, Jocelyn Bayman, Remington Kasten, and Alice Britt. Al's career in the lumber industry began at Indiana Lumber, then moved on to Northside Lumber, and later to Princess Homes. Although owner of Bayman Builders for many years, above all else, Al was a man devoted to his family and faith, as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. He loved taking his family on many vacations, most often to Walt Disney World. Al will be missed greatly by all who have known and loved him. Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, March 19th, at Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road, with Sam Fisher officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 18th, at Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, and a half hour prior to the service on Saturday. Private burial will be held at Saint Joseph Valley Memorial Park Cemetery. In Al's memory, contributions may be made to Avow Hospice, 1095 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples, FL 34105.
