Copenhaver Services Set For Friday.
Services for James L. Copenhaver Sr., 43, of 607½ E. Grove St., who was found dead in the living room of his home early Tuesday, will be at 2. p.m. Friday in the Hollis Funeral Home, South Bend Chapel. Rev. Lloyd McCaskill, assistant pastor of the Twin City Baptist Church, will officiate and burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may call at the funeral home.
Copenhaver was pronounced dead in his home by Dr. F. Dale Nelson, deputy St. Joseph County coroner, who ordered an autopsy. Dr. Nelson said Wednesday that a ruling on the cause of death is pending, and is not expected for several weeks.
Born in South Bend on Aug. 1. 1930, Copenhaver married Josephine Lacopo in South Bend on Aug. 5, 1949. She survives, along with a son, Pvt. James L. Copenhaver Jr. of the U.S. Army; two daughters, Mrs. Diane Longust of Germany and Mrs. Sharon Canton of Joseph, Mo., and three brothers, Lawrence of South Bend, Clifton of California and Norman of Fort Lauderdale, Fla
