PEORIA HEIGHTS Cleod Wilson Davenport II, 83. of Peoria Heights, died Friday, Dec. 20. 2002, at Rose Garden Care Center in Peoria Heights. He was formerly of Benton Harbor, Mich. Cremation has been accorded. No services or visitation will be held. Deiters Funeral Home in Washington handled arrangements.

He was born March 25, 1919, in Aspinwall, Pa., to Cleod Wilson Sr. and Isabelle Thill Davenport.

He married Juanita Dickey on April 13, 1941, in South Bend, Ind.

Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Pegi Meyer of Chillicothe; one son, Cleod Wilson (Gail) Davenport Ill of Grand Rapids, Mich.; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister.

Davenport had worked as a marine mechanic for 20 years and at Ace Hardware for 10 years in Benton Harbor, Mich. He also owned and operated Pet & Supply in South Bend, Ind., for 15 years.
