SOUTH BEND - Margaret Regina Mackey, 74, of Topsfield Road, formerly of North Frances Street, died at 7:39 p.m. Monday in St. Joseph Hospital, Mishawaka, after illness.

Miss Mackey retired from Torrington Corp. after 45 years of service. She was born Oct. 21, 1918, in Detroit and lived in South Bend most of her life, coming from Detroit.

She is survived by three sisters, Betty Baker of South Bend, Jane Eckenhoff of LaPorte and Helene Bernhagen of Houston; and two brothers, Richard M. of South Bend and James of Clarksburg, W.Va.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson Blvd. Cremation will take at Riverview Crematory with burial in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home, where a wake will be held at 7 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc. or the National Kidney Foundation of Indiana Inc., 850 N. Meridian. Indianapolis, Ind. 46201
