Louis Oliver Martin

Louis O. Martin, 68, of 60865 S. Main St., died at 8:28 a.m. Sunday in Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Martin retired from Indiana Engraving Co. in 1980 as a finisher and proofer. He was born Aug. 9, 1918, in Elkhart, and had lived in South Bend for 60 years, coming from Elkhart.

On March 12, 1954, in South Bend, he married Barbara Cinninger Lee, who survives. Also surviving are four daughters, Judith C. Barnhart of LaPorte, Karen K. Irvin and Sherry D. Lee Bailey, both of Plymouth and Terry S. Lee of Detroit; a son, Louis O. Jr. of St. Petersburg, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and a sister, Mildred Sparks of Plant City, Fla.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be at Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the funeral home.
