Leonard C. Sharafinski

May 5, 1919 – April 15, 2004

Leonard C.Sharafinski, 84, of Traverse Circle, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 2:10 a.m.on Thursday, April 15, in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center. He was born on May 5, 1919, in Milwaukee, Wis., to Nicholas and Lucy (Palush) Sharafinski, who preceded him in death. On June 26, 1948, in Cicero, Ill., Leonard married Ursula Losos.

Leonard is survived by his wife, Ursula;daughter, Susan L.Miller of Mishawaka; grandchildren, Traci (Antione) Hamilton of South Bend, Ind., and M.Ryan Miller of Mishawaka;great-grandchildren, Derrack, Danyalle, Dalynn, Danaye, Dalayna and Devyn;and sister, Cornelia (Larry) Barrett of Evart, Mich. Also surviving Leonard is a brother, Jerry (Pat) Sharafinski of Warren, Mich.;aunts, Della and Evelyn of Wisconsin; uncles, Carl and Clem of Wisconsin; aunts, Florence (Howard) Muldoon of South Bend and Virginia (Bob) Miltenberger; uncle, Eugene Sharafinski;and special friends, Michael A.Miller, Kristy (Karl) Morris, Tammy DeFault, Jackie Scroggins, Alexander Romos, Bob Criger, Ron Meert and Jerry Kyle; and many cousins, nephews and nieces.

Leonard graduated from St. Hedwig grade school and Riley High School.He was a member of the K of C Council 533, DAV, American Legion 360, and the Eagles.He loved to visit and talk with his friends. He loved baseball and football.He used to bowl with the K of C. He enjoyed watching the Cubs.Leonard retired after 24 years of service as a foreman with Uniroyal.

Visitation will be on Monday, April 19, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.in the ST.JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 1827 E.Ireland Road.A Rosary will be prayed at 3:30 p.m.Funeral services will be on Tuesday, April 20, at 1 p.m.in the funeral home.Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Ind. Memorial contributions may be made to St.Joseph Church, Mishawaka
