Craig Bernard Scott was born April 2, 1966 in South Bend, Indiana to Nebraska B. Scott and Donna M. (Mitchell) Scott-Haynes.
Craig graduated from Riley High School in 1984. He served in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged.
Craig was united in holy matrimony to the former Wubalem Feleke on May 2, 2018, and their union was blessed with two beautiful children.
He worked personal security detail for Sally Global Balad Air Base in Iraq for nine years and had worked as an outreach specialist for US Vets.
Craig leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Wubalem “Cookie” Scott of Las Vegas, NV; his adorable sons, Craig Scott Jr. and Christian Scott, both of Las Vegas, NV; his mother, Donna Scott-Haynes of South Bend, IN; two brothers, Tony (Angela) Scott and Nebraska B. Scott Jr., both of South, Bend, IN; two sisters, Audra (Willie) Pinkney of Oxon Hill, MD and Lynn (Edward) Davies of Merrillville, IN; one aunt, Pamela Lax of South Bend, IN; uncles, Arthur (Tommie Ann) Lax of Kankakee, IL, Herbert Lax, David (Sharon) Lax, Ronald Lax and Darryl (Janice) Lax, all of South Bend, IN, Durrell (Marie) Lax of Bel Alton, MD and Jerry (Carolyn) Lax of El Paso, TX; his stepmom, Marie Scott and her children, Sonya (Demarge) Minton and Shawnna (Brian) Wakes; close friends, Tom Walker of Lax Vegas, NV and Chas Jones Jr. and Corrinne of Texas.
He was preceded in death by his father; his maternal grandparents, Frank and Velma Lax; his paternal grandparents, Kinnon and Elizabeth Scott and his stepfather, Lee Haynes.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 31, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 11:00 a.m. at Abundant Faith Family Ministries, 833 S. 30th Street, South Bend, IN. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
