David Allen Enyeart
July 11, 1976 ~ June 16, 2024 47 Years Old
David Allen Enyeart, 47, residing in Mishawaka, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2024 in his home. He was born July 11, 1976 in South Bend to Dennis J. & Jan E. (Engstrom) Enyeart, and was a 1994 graduate of James Whitcomb Riley High School.
On August 19, 2000, Dave was united in marriage to Chasity K. Farrell who survives. He is also survived by his father, Dennis J. Enyeart, his sister, Andrea and her children, Aleah, Breana, and Calvin Jr., along with Chas’s siblings, Aaron, Cheyanna, and John. Other family include Joan Getz and seven aunts, uncles and many cousins. David was preceded in death by his mother, Jan Enyeart on April 23, 2004, along with his grandparents, Carl & Ruth “Jo” Engstrom, and Jack and Rose Enyeart.
David was employed at the Hesburgh Library at the University of Notre Dame for the past 23 years, where despite being on the quiet side of things, he made a huge impact and formed many friendships with many people across the library. He will also be missed by a large circle of gaming friends, who have shared in his ups and downs. Dave was always the quiet guy at the table. In a room full of big personalities, he was the ever quiet center, possessing a sense of stillness. It is this same stillness that has gripped our circle now, passing his quiet over our entire table. We will miss him profoundly. Dave and Chas also participated in South Bend Roller Derby for many years. Dave was coaching while Chas skated. “Dave Wreckoning” was a great friend and coach to many during those years. He was loved and will be dearly missed by all.
Family and friends will gather from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 21, at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 South Michigan St., South Bend, where a memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Southlawn Cemetery at a later date.
Those wishing to express their sympathy may send contributions to the St. Joseph County Humane Society, 2506 Grape Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com
