SOUTH BEND - Ivan J. Biddle, 78, residing in South Bend, passed away at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, September 16, 2010, in Healthwin Specialized Care in South Bend. Ivan was born April 7, 1932, in Attica, IN, to Oliver George and Mae Juanita (Williams) Biddle. Ivan served his country honorably in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Following his military service he went to work at McDonald Studio as a wedding photographer and printer until retiring in 2002.

On Dec. 31, 1967, in Lakeville United Methodist Church, Ivan married the former Marilyn "Mary Jo" Kemble, who survives. The Biddles were longtime members of Central United Methodist Church where Ivan sang in the choir. In addition to his loving wife, Mary Jo, Ivan is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Ann (Richard Eaton) Biddle of South Bend and Kathleen Joy (Fernando) Biddle Echiverri of Honolulu, HI; four grandchildren, Silver Echiverri, Kelly Ann Leyba, Ashley Eaton and Danielle Eaton; and one great-granddaughter, Emma Marie. He is also survived by one sister, Beulah (Raymond) Patnaude of South Bend; two brothers, Rupert (Pat) Biddle of High Ridge, MO, and William (Emma) Biddle of Attica, IN; as well as one half brother, Frank (Brenda) Beedle of Mesquite, TX.

Ivan was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Vera Cooper and Louise Talbot; and two brothers, Thurman "Peck" Biddle and Lewis Bidd
le.
