SYRACUSE Phyllis A. White, 81 , of Syracuse, IN, passed away on November 24, 2013, at Miller's Merry Manor in Syracuse. She was born on March 2, 1932, in Howe, IN, to Cleon & Carlie (Ruth) Steele. 

She was a secretary and homemaker

On June 4, 1976, she married Vernon White. She is survived by her husband, Vernon White of Syracuse; 1 daughter, Lori (Marc) Abel of Libertyville, IL; 2 sons, Douglas Simpson of South Bend and Joel Simpson of Austin, TX; 2 stepdaughters, Kathy Rice of South Bend and Nancy White of South Bend; 1 sister, Mary Lou Krider of South Bend; 2 grandchildren and 5 step-grandchildren.
