Steven “Stevo” M. Madick III

Oct.22, 1983 – Feb.22, 2014

SOUTH BEND — Steven “Stevo” M. Madick III passed away February 22, 2014. Stevo was born on October 22, 1983 in South Bend to Steven and Helen (Hess) Madick.

He was a sergeant in the United States Army stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas assigned to the 1st Combat Air Brigade. He was a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2013 where he served as an intelligence analyst providing vital information to combat ground and air support missions. Stevo was loving, loyal, and fearless as well and a strong and intelligent soldier. His superiors respected him and many more looked up to him. He protected all those around him, in and out of battle. His family and close friends were his world and his joy in being with them was only matched by being in his company. He loved coming home every opportunity he had and the room would light up the minute he walked in the door. His smile will forever be remembered by all those who truly knew him. He will always be remembered for loving those around him so deeply and doing whatever his country asked of him, whenever it needed him. May his memory be eternal.

Surviving are his parents, Steven and Helen Madick of South Bend; wife, Melissa (Affleck) Madick of South Bend; beloved daughter, Adrijana Grace Madick, at home; sister, Sarah Madick of South Bend and brother, Michael Madick of South Bend.
