Franklin "Wayne" Bell

Franklin “Wayne” Bell was born in Wayne County, Kentucky, on October 17, 1957, to Wesley “Jack” Bell and Mary Lou (Coffey).
Wayne passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on Saturday morning, June 29, 2024.
He attended Riley High School in South Bend, IN, served honorably in the U.S. Army, and spent most of his life as a truck driver. He loved driving semis. He started driving in the late 1970s. Earlier in his career, he drove across the country. He often stated that you can see some of the most beautiful scenery in this country, from the windshield of a big truck. He spent the last seven years driving for Flexco Products (Elkhart).
Wayne is survived by his sisters: Lois “Jean” (Vic) Dobbs of Mishawaka, IN; Katie “Lou” Bell of Mishawaka; and Connie “May” (Rodger) Dobbs of Stearns, KY. Wayne is also survived by his children, Kriss (Josh) Orlea of Cincinnati, OH, and David “Wayne” (Taylor) Bell of Elkhart; as well as his grandchildren, Zack Orlea of Cincinnati, OH; Lucas Karbalaeali of Elkhart; and Wyatt “Jackson” Bell of Elkhart.
