Wilner “Tutti” (Pope) Cusic
October 31, 1957 ~ August 31, 2025 (age 67)
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Wilner "Tutti" Cusic, born on October 31, 1957, in South Bend, Indiana. A pillar of her community, Tutti was a beacon of hope, a tireless advocate, and a cherished friend. Known for her infectious laughter, her unwavering faith, and her boundless love for her children, Tutti was a shining example of resilience and compassion.
Tutti dedicated her professional life to educational services, working as a Transition Program Specialist and Equity Outreach Coordinator for InSource for 32 years. Her personal experience as the mother of a child with special needs propelled her into becoming a tireless advocate for parents and students with disabilities within the South Bend School Corporation. Her advocacy work made a significant difference in countless lives over the years, a testament to her dedication and heart. Adding to her exceptional character, Tutti was also a member of the “Sassy Seniors” group, a vibrant community of women who shared her love for travel and good food.
Tutti's faith was an integral part of her life, and she served the Lord with joy and devotion. She was a member of Antioch Glory Center Church, where she was ordained as an Elder in 2024. Prior to that, she served in the sign choir at Faith Christian Center. Her faith was a source of strength and inspiration to those around her, and her spiritual legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
Tutti is survived by her children, Philip, Amber, and Tony; and her brother, Jerry. She was preceded in death by her parents, Theresea and Horace Pope.
In celebrating Tutti's vibrant life, we encourage all who knew her to share their memories and upload photos to her memorial page. Every shared memory helps to keep the spirit of Tutti alive in our hearts, reminding us of the extraordinary woman we were so fortunate to know.
