Peggy Ann Williams - Class Of 1977 VIEW PROFILE

Peggy Ann Williams

September 9, 1955 ~ August 6, 2024 68 Years Old

Peggy Ann Williams was called to her eternal rest on August 6, 2024. Born on September 9, 1955, in the town of Mansfield, Ohio, Peggy was a beacon of light and love to all who knew her. She was a daughter of the late Charles and Susie Mae (Hayden) Williams, and she walked in the footsteps of the Lord from her earliest days.

Peggy was a graduate of Riley High School, where she laid the foundation for a life of service and care. She dedicated her professional life to helping others as a CNA and Restorative Aide at Trailpoint Village, where she didn't just perform her duties, but she poured love and compassion into every soul she touched. Her work was not a job; it was a calling, and she served with a heart full of grace and a soul generated by love.

Her faith was the cornerstone of her life. Peggy was a Woman of God, steadfast in her faith and unwavering in her devotion. She found joy in attending church, where she would lift her voice in praise and worship, clearly loving her God with all her heart, soul, and mind.

Family was Peggy's greatest joy. She was the loving mother of Ida Parker and Cornelius Williams, who will miss her deeply. Peggy was also a beloved sister to Mary Ann Adkins, Robert Williams, Alan Williams, and Eldrey Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Susie Mae (Hayden) Williams, her sister, Sandra Parker, and her brothers, Eddie, Charles, Buford, David, Clarence, and Leon Williams. Her family was her pride and joy, and she relished in being around her children and siblings, sharing in life's many blessings and challenges.

Peggy's warmth extended to her special nephews, Neil, Danny, and Leonard Williams and Dantonyo Hines, who will carry fond memories of their aunt's love and guidance. Her life was also enriched by the companionship of two special friends, Lisa Plump and Maudie Green, whose friendship provided laughter and support through the years.

Peggy's interests were as varied as the beautiful tapestry of life. She was a woman who loved to be surrounded by her family and her children, finding joy in the simple pleasure of their company. She was known to enjoy a trip to the "Boat" to gamble, where her laughter was a bright light among the ringing of slot machines. Peggy also found peace in the tranquility of water scenery, where she could see the hand of God in the ripple of every wave.

Funeral Services for Peggy Ann Williams will be held at 11 am on Saturday, August 17, 2024, in Greater Mt. Calvary MB Church. Pastor Earl Hairston will be officiating this service of remembrance and celebration. Family and friends are invited to gather in the Church beginning at 10 am to share in fellowship and to honor the memory of a woman whose life was a blessing to us all.
