Dec. 3, 1914 - March 10, 2001 Edna K. Corse, 86, of Dansker Lane, South Bend, died at 10:50 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2001 in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Corse was born December 3, 1914 in Battle Creek, Michigan, to Edgar W. and Jennie M. (Baxter) Kincade and lived in South Bend until 1944 and moved back to South Bend from Pomona, Calif. in 1976.

On July 6, 1938 in South Bend as Edna Kincade, she married James A. Corse who died on Jan. 9, 1990. She was also preceded in death by five sisters, Emily Kuhl, Alice Gran, Mae Tebo, Cora Smith, and Frances Buchanan; and one brother, Willis Kincade.

She is survived by one son, Thomas J. Corse of South Bend; two granddaughters, Kim Lorrie Corse of South Bend; and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Corse was a member of Northway Church of Christ, Lakeville Chapter #479 Order of Eastern Star and a 50 year member of former South Bend Chapter #2 Order of Eastern Star and a former member of the Viking Club.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 13 in the Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Rd. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 540 S. Carroll St., South Bend, IN, 46601
