Julia C. Pilsitz, 86, of East Marion Street, formerly of Miami Street, died Wednesday morning, July 17, in her residence.

Julia was director of the Children's Nursery at St. Matthew's Cathedral for 35 years. She was born Dec. 13, 1915, in Steelton, Pa., to Michael and Mary (Egresitz) Pilsitz, who preceded her in death, and had lived in South Bend, Ind., most of her life. She is survived by four sisters, Mary Ann Balmer of Mishawaka, Ind., Rosie (Joe) Smith of New Jersey, Helen (John) Finlay of Michigan and Ann (Jack) Beery of South Bend; and by a brother, Michael (Lisa) Pilsitz of Florida.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Cathedral of St. Matthew. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before services in the cathedral. Memorials may be made to any children's charity. The HICKEY Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson Blvd., 289-1000, is in charge of arrangements
