W. Ivo Rea, 68, of 1711 Inwood Road, died at 12:30 a.m. Monday in his home after a three-month illness. Born on Feb. 14, 1915, in South Bend, he was a lifetime area resident.

On Sept. 4, 1938, he married the former Harriet Gunder, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Vicki Marvel of Winter Springs, Fla., and Mrs. Karen Tucker and Mrs. Marcia Miller, both of South Bend; a son, James A. Rea of Boca Raton, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; a sister, Miss Doris Eleanor Rea of South Bend, and a brother, Robert Virgil Rea of South Bend.

Private family services are scheduled on Wednesday. Cremation will take place. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 435 S. Ironwood.

He was the former owner of Beacon Bowl and Chippewa Lanes. He was a member of South Bend Country Club and Quail Creek Country Club, Naples, Fla.
