MISHAWAKA — Elmer E. Chell, 71, of Pin Oak Manor, died at 1:10 pm. Saturday in St. Joseph's Medical Center after an illness.

He was a tool and dye maker.

Born Dec 12 1919, in Chicago, he lived in the South Bend area most of his life. On July 23, 1960, in South Bend, he married Bernice Nojd. She survives, along with a daughter, Cathy Keen of Jonesboro, Ga.; a son, David, of South Bend; two grandchildren, and two sisters, Elvera Cyr and Esther BIondell, both of South Bend.

Mr Chell was a World War II Navy veteran.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Welsheimer's Funeral Home, 521 N William S.t Burial will be at Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice
