Margaret Eleanor (Gilliom) Stucky

July 31, 1920 – April 23, 2006 Margaret E.Stucky, 85, of LaPaz, Indiana, passed away following an illness Sunday morning, April 23, 2006, in Regency Hospital, Portage, Indiana. She was born July 31, 1920, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to the late Elmer Gilliom and Nancy Houck.Also preceding her in death were a sister, Dorothy Resseguie, and a brother, John Gilliom.On November 24, 1943, in Nappanee, Indiana, she married Lyman Roger Stucky, who died in 1987.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Richard L.Stucky, and his wife, Lou Anne of Charlotte, N.C.;grandchildren, Bart, Neil (Lee) and Lance Stucky;two sisters, Liz Holmgren of Graham, Washington, and Mary Hinderer of Ann Arbor, Michigan;and several nieces and nephews.

Margaret graduated from Riley High School and the South Bend College of Commerce.She worked for 61 years for the Abstract Company of Saint Joseph County, now Meridian Title Company.She was a former member of First United Methodist Church, was a devoted Notre Dame fan, loved to read and enjoyed arts and crafts. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m.Thursday, April 27, 2006, in the chapel at Saint Joseph Valley Memorial Park.
