Kenneth H. Jerue Sr.

Kenneth H. Jerue Sr., 68, of Banning, Calif., formerly of South Bend, died at 5:38 p.m. Monday in Pawating Hospital, Niles, after an illness.

Mr. Jerue was visiting relatives. He was a foreman with Reeves Rubber Co., San Clemente, Calif., for 22 years before retiring in 1984. He was born Nov. 11, 1919, in South Bend and had lived in California for 26 years.

On June 23, 1940, in Mishawaka he married the former Helen L. Ward, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Kathy H. Goebel of Anaheim, Calif.; a son, Rolland R. Jerue of San Juan Capistrano, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and a sister, Helen Jean Lehman of South Bend.

A memorial service is planned for 4 p.m. Wednesday in Bubb Funeral Chapel, Mishawaka. Cremation will be at Riverview Crematory.
