KLEINER (KETTRING) - Mrs. Dorothy J. Kleiner, aged 82, of Grand Rapids, passed away at Home of Hope on Saturday evening, April 6, 2002.

She was preceded in death by her husband, A. Robert Kleiner in 1987.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy DeYoung of Grand Rapids; her two grandchildren, Ty DeYoung (Rebecca Ackerman) of Santa Cruz, CA, Sarah DeYoung of Richmond, IN; her sister, Esther (Horace) Redman of Baton Rouge, LA; her brother, Hugh (Avis) Kettring of Louisville, KY; other nieces, nephews and many friends.

Dorothy worked as a social worker for D.A. Blodgett Homes for over 20 years placing more than 300 children with families. She was a member of Fountain Street Church and the Sweitzer Guild.

Cremation has taken place. Burial will be in Oakhill Cemetery. A memorial service will be at Fountain Street Church at a later date to be announced.

Contributions in her memory may be made to Fountain Street Church or Hospice of Michigan.
