Harold James Kinzie

Harold James Kinzie, 59, of 127 Village Way, died at 3:30 a.m. today in St. Joseph's Hospital after a lengthy illness. He had been a service man for the Northern Indiana Public Service Co. for 26 years, retiring in 1975.

He was born March 18, 1920, in South Bend, and had lived here all his life. On May 11, 1941, he married Carol Atwood, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Jeffrey of South Bend, and three brothers, Paul and Lee of South Bend and Owen of Niles.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home. Rev. Daniel W. Fowler, D.D., pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Riverview Mausoleum. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.

Kinzie was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army
