GRANGER - Ella K. Grove, 73, of Huntington Lane, died about 5 a.m. Tuesday in her home after an illness. Mrs. Grove retired in 1984 as the office manager of Remote Controls, Mishawaka. She was born Jan. 30, 1920, in South Bend and returned to South Bend in 1988, coming from Toway, Calif.

On June 5, 1970, in South Bend, as Ella Kirsits, she married Leroy K. Grove. He died Nov. 20, 1987.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary Jo DeVleeschower of Columbus, Ohio; a son, Charles J. DeVleeschower of Granger; a stepdaughter, Vicky Nussbaum of Fort Wayne; three stepsons, Roy and Steven, both of Granger, and Lee A. of Elkhart; 10 grandchildren; a sister, Anne Buzolits of Elkhart; and a brother, John Kirsits of South Bend.

She was a member of American Association of Retired Persons, Women's Art. League, South Bend Garden Club, Morris Park Country Club and St. Matthew Cathedral, South Bend.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday in the cathedral. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road, where a rosary will be said at 4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County.
