Alfred F. Lochmandy, age 83, of Valparaiso, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2003 at the Horton Hospice Center, Valparaiso. Born in South Bend, IN, January 25, 1920, son of the late Michael and Vilma Horvath Lochmandy.

A 50 year resident of Valparaiso; co-owner of Lochmandy Bros. Buick, Inc., with his brother Victor for 33 years; member of St. Paul Catholic Church; Lieutenant in the Army Air Corps, WWII; member of Knights of Columbus Council 738 of Valparaiso, the Elks Club and American Legion. Attended Butler University in Indianapolis.

Survived by wife, Blendina of Valparaiso; one brother Victor A. Lochmandy of Valparaiso/Arizona; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by brother, Michael Lochmandy.

Funeral services Wednesday, April 9, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1800 Harrison Blvd., Valparaiso, IN, with Rev. Joseph Pawlowski officiating. Interment, Highland Cemetery in South Bend, IN. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass on Wednesday, April 9th, at St. Paul Catholic Church. Arrangements by Dykes Funeral Home, 2305 N.
