Rose Marie (Fansler) Uvardy

Feb. 3, 1920 – April 8, 2004

Rose Marie Uvardy, 84, of Woodland Manor, Elkhart, Ind., formerly of Altgeld Street, passed away at 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 8, in Woodland Manor. She was born on Feb. 3, 1920, in South Bend, Ind., to Charles D. and Lucy B. (Alcott) Fansler, who preceded her in death.

Surviving Rose Marie are two daughters, Sue Ellen Brown of South Bend and Judith Elaine Ross of Sebring, Fla.; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Elenor Ulrich of San Antonio, Texas.

Rose Marie was a member of Sigma Alpha Sorority. She retired from IUSB where she was a secretary.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 12, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 1827 E.Ireland Road. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, in the funeral home. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery, South Bend. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
