PACKARD Glenn Edward, 85 of Port Richey died peacefully at home on Thursday evening April 1, 2004. He was a devoted husband of 57 years to Betty Jane Packard who preceded him in death March 20, 2004. Born in Des Moines, lowa in 1918 he moved to South Bend, Indiana as a youth.
In 1944 Glenn served the Army Airforce in the Pacific Theatre. He worked for Studebakers for 22 years as a Sheet Metal Model Maker, then moved to Utica Michigan in 1964 where he worked for Rockwell International until he retired.
The family became permanent residents of Port Richey in 1987. He was a lifetime member of Masonic Portage Lodge #675.
He was a loving and devoted father to son Randall, Daughters: Diana Dittman and Susan Ostrom. Other survivors include Grandchildren Glenn and Erica Packard of Dryden, Michigan; Scott Dittman, Melanie Coker and Adam Ostrom all of Port Richey; several Great Grandchildren, brother Clifford and a cousin Bob Stauffer, both who live in Indiana.
A memorial service will be held at Unity Church of Port Richey 5844 Pine Hill Rd., on Tuesday April 6th at 6:30 PM.
