MISHAWAKA - Evelyn Mary Matthys, 89, residing in Mishawaka, IN, formerly of South Bend, passed away peacefully at 2:50 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at Hospice House, South Bend. She was born November 25, 1919 in South Bend, the daughter of Camiel & Julianna (DeWinne) Matthys, and has been a lifelong resident of this community.

She retired from AM General Corp. where she was employed as a secretary for thirty years. She also worked as a Secretary for the Studebaker Corp. of twenty-five years. Evelyn was a member of St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, South Bend.
