John S. Pallatin

Graveside services and burial for John S. Pallatin, 67, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., formerly of South Bend, who died Nov. 5 in Veterans Administration Hospital, Miami, were Nov. 9 at Arlington (Va.) National Cemetery. Kraeer Funeral Home, Fort Lauderdale was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Pallatin retired in 1973 as a captain from the U.S. Army after 30 years of service. He was born Dec. 13, 1919, in South Bend.

His wife, the former Virginia Sipotz of Fort Lauderdale survives. Also surviving re a daughter, Jacquelyn Searcy of Fort Lauderdale; a son, John S. Jr. of Indianapolis; five grandchildren; a sister, Agnes Soenick of Niles; and two brothers, Thomas and Joseph, both of South Bend.
