Bernice E. Yahle, 65, of 905 E. Donmoyer, died at 10:45 p.m.. Friday at Memorial Hospital after a one year illness.

She retired in 1962 from Bendix Corp. after 30 years of service. For the past year, she was co-owner of the Stewart Sandwich Distributorship of Fort Wayne which she and her husband bought in May 1982. She was born July 16, 1918, in South Bend and lived here all her life.

On Feb. 18, 1950, in South Bend, she married Richard Yahle, who survives along with two daughters, Mrs. Gregory (Kathleen) Kuzmits of Naples, Fla., and Mrs. Timothy (Nancy) Stergias of Fort Wayne; three grandchildren; and two brothers, Donald R. Saddison of South Bend and John Saddison of Niles.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Guisinger Colonial Chapel, with Rev. Thomas Murphy, pastor of the Gospel Center Missionary Church, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
