Clarence R. Snyder, 63, of 657 Klinger, died at 8:30 a.m. Friday in his home after a two-year illness. Snyder was a former Tire Service Co. employee. Born on Nov. 4, 1918. in South Bend, he had lived here his lifetime.

On June 4, 1964, in Roseland, he married Bette (Penny) Pallas, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Miss Charlene Snyder of South Bend; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Jean Riffel of Mattson, Ill., and Mrs. Jane Fries of South Bend; and four brothers, Howard, John and Donald, all of South Bend, and Alvin of Lakeville.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday i in the Guisinger Colonial Chapel, where friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 210:4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. Rev. Leland Schwarz, pastor of the Southlawn United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Southlawn.
