Ruth Lillian (Stenberg) Webster

Ruth L. Webster, 81, passed away Saturday morning, December 22nd, in the St. Paul's Retirement Community. Ruth was born on October 26, 1920 in South Bend to Arvid M. and Clara L. (Hallquist) Stenberg, both of whom preceded her in death.

On March 27, 1943 Ruth married J. Walter Webster in South Bend, he preceded her in death in July of 1998.

Ruth was a member of the Sunnyside Presbyterian Church in South Bend. Ruth was a former member of the Evangelical Covenant Church of South Bend, and a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Ruth worked for Associates Financial Company, Sippel Equipment Company, and most recently was employed at the University of Notre Dame, as a secretary.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Kristine L. Hanor, along with her husband, G. Richard Hanor, of Boca Raton, Florida; and her son J. Walter Webster, and his wife, Dianne, of Geneva, Illinois. Ruth is also survived by two granddaughters; Meegan and Melissa Webster, along with a sister, Hildegard M. Nelson of Turlock, California.

Friends may call from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 26th at the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, December 27th. Officiating the service will be Rev. Phillip Stenberg and Rev. Kenneth Carlson, with Rev. Robyn Garrison assisting.
