Sylvia M. (Tomber) Aronson

SOUTH BEND Sylvia M. Aronson, 69, of 263 Rue Bossuet, died at 3:39 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Medical Center. She was a secretary for many years at the former Solitt Construction Co.

Born July 7, 1920, in South Bend, she was a lifetime resident.

As Sylvia Tomber, she married Eli Aronson on Nov. 8, 1942. He died Jan. 8, 1980.

Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Aronson House of Columbus, Ohio; a son, Spencer, of South Bend; and four grandchildren.

Mrs. Aronson was a member of Sinai Sisterhood and the Glaucoma Association.

Services will be at noon Sunday in the chapel of the Hebrew Orthodox Cemetery, where burial will follow. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 435 S. Ironwood Drive, is in charge of arrangements.
